There is something so special about the first few days with your baby. The tiny fingers, sleepy stretches, hospital bracelets, first cuddles, and all of the little moments that make those early days feel so new.
Fresh 48 photography is about documenting those moments as they naturally happen, right in the hospital, before you head home and life begins to settle into a new routine.
A Relaxed, Baby-Led Session
Fresh 48 sessions take place during your hospital stay and are designed around you and your baby. We will photograph the little moments that naturally happen during our time together, from feeding and cuddling to tiny stretches, sleepy faces, and those first family moments. If your baby needs to eat, be changed, soothed, or simply held for a few extra minutes, we will take the time we need.
There is no need to have everything perfectly prepared before your session. You may be in a hospital gown, your room may have a few things scattered around, and you may still be figuring out this whole new routine. That is completely okay. We will work with the space you have and focus on the people and little details that make these first days so meaningful.
Maternity, Fresh 48 & Newborn Packages
If you want to document more of this season, I also offer customizable maternity and newborn photography packages. You can mix and match maternity, Fresh 48, and newborn sessions based on what you want for your family. Rather than choosing from a one-size-fits-all package, I’ll customize the price around the sessions you’re most interested in.

Adding a maternity session gives you the opportunity to document your journey before baby arrives, while a newborn session captures those first days at home. Fresh 48 Photography FAQs
When should I book my Fresh 48 session?
Fresh 48 sessions are booked in advance so that I can plan around your expected delivery date. Since babies tend to have their own plans, we’ll stay in communication as your due date gets closer and coordinate the session once your baby arrives.
When will my Fresh 48 session take place?
The session will take place during your hospital stay, generally within the first 48 hours after your baby is born. The exact timing will depend on your delivery, your hospital stay, and how you and baby are doing.
What happens if my baby comes early or late?
That’s completely okay! Your session is booked around your expected due date, but we know the actual arrival date may be different. Just keep me updated when you can, and we’ll adjust the timing of your session accordingly.
What if I have a C-section or need to stay in the hospital longer?
Your session can still happen! There is no pressure to fit into a specific timeline. We’ll work around your recovery, your baby’s needs, and your hospital’s schedule to find a time that feels comfortable.
Do I need to bring anything for the session?
Not much! Your baby can wear a simple outfit, hospital swaddle, or whatever you have chosen for those first days. We’ll also photograph the little details already around you, like the hospital bassinet, blankets, bracelets, and tiny outfits. You don't need to bring props or prepare anything elaborate.
When is payment due?
Fresh 48 sessions are booked in advance, but no payment is due until the day of your session. Because the timing of a Fresh 48 session depends on when your baby arrives, we’ll stay in touch around your delivery date and finalize the details once baby is here.
